After a 5 year hiatus from this series I have returned!!! I really hope you enjoy this very special project. Volume 8 was recorded over the course of one week except "smiley" which had been done a couple of months prior. This volume was recorded after I put out "Suspending Disbelief" and during the recording of my vocal album. I believe volume 8 to be a pivotal recording as it captures me fully finding my tone. I have tried a ton of gear and guitars over the years and I have finally found a way to get exactly what's been in my head for years on the record. During this season I have become a massive fan of the Gibson Les Paul. Almost this entire record is recorded on LPs except "Big Time" which was my friends PRS se 24 (Thanks Marty!) and a couple other tunes. The guitar I recorded "Selah" on is even in here somewhere now that I think about it.

"Blues Jam" was recorded as a voice memo on my phone for my friend and it really became the spark that kicked off Volume 8. After I mastered the recording I thought it sounded pretty good though definitely not studio quality so I found it fitting to release it with this project.

Between installments of this series I got married to the love of my life Joy! I had my first child my son John, had a spiritual reformation, and suffered a gun shot wound during a police training exercise I was helping with so this installment will always be special to me as a true come back! Life is very different now for the good and bad but God is always faithful. I have matured and I believe you can hear it in my playing. I feel even after all these years and projects I am just now truly beginning my career.

God is good and His mercy and love endures forever! This album was made for your enjoyment and to the glory of Jesus Christ.
